Senior Accountant

 As the manager of the company’s accounting department, Misty oversees planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions. These include accounts payable for management companies, communities, and an AP comparison of job budgets for each phase of construction, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and compliance. She also develops and manages the company’s annual budget to support its strategic plans, and coordinates and prepares financial statements.  

In addition, Misty prepares land development draws, tracks subcontractor compliance for General Liability and Worker’s Compensation Insurance, completes credit applications, and is in charge of maintaining the State Construction Registry and Lien Release collections.

 Misty has earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Westminster College and has over 20 years of
professional experience in accounting.  She recently spent a decade working for Cottonwood Partners as their assistant controller.  She began working with Brodsky Built in June of 2023.
